1st Coat Epoxy
After many hours of sanding to achieve a smooth surface two coats of epoxy were applied to seal the surface. This is important to prevent air bubbles from coming out of the cedar and collecting under the glass when the cloth is wet out.

Glass Wet OutWet out begins in the center of the boat and epoxy is worked out down the sides and toward the ends. One must work fast as the epoxy begins to "kick-off" in about 45 minutes. I mixed up 6 Ozs of epoxy at a time. ~ 36 Ozs of epoxy was required to wet out the glass in ~ 1-1/2 Hours. |
